Frequently asked questions

What clients ask us most about this service.

What is a financial expert report?

A technical opinion prepared by an independent expert that quantifies and explains the financial aspects of a dispute (for example, the amount of a loss) so the judge or tribunal can decide on objective grounds. In Colombia it is governed by the General Code of Procedure.

What kinds of proceedings do you take part in?

Mainly arbitrations and court cases involving infrastructure contracts, concessions, construction contracts and commercial or corporate disputes.

Can the report be challenged?

Yes. The other party can challenge it and the expert must defend it, usually at a hearing. That is why the rigor and clarity of the analysis matter so much.
